Chapter 2 - The Man With The Old Photograph
Emily demanded answers, but the stranger only gave her a name.
“Daniel Cross.”
Adrian ordered security to remove him.
“You don’t belong here,” Adrian said.
Daniel looked at him calmly. “Neither did the truth you buried.”
The room erupted with rumors.
Emily noticed something in Daniel’s hand: an old photograph showing her mother standing beside him twenty years earlier.
Her mother had supposedly never known Daniel.
That night, Emily secretly followed Daniel outside.
“Tell me everything,” she said.
Daniel looked toward the mansion.
“Your father didn’t cause your accident because he hated you. He caused it because you discovered something.”
“What?”
Daniel handed her the photograph.
On the back was a date.
The date her mother died.
