Chapter Goal: Learn whether Dr. Lang caused the error, expose the full chain of responsibility, and give Julian and Evan a truthful ending.
Micro-Turn: Dr. Lang admits he discovered the duplicate-order problem years earlier and repeatedly warned hospital leadership; he preserved logs because he feared they would be erased. His credential was used to cancel one duplicate order, but another was reactivated automatically after transfer.
Planted Clue / Foreshadowing: Julian's final sealed letter mentions a voicemail Evan left the night before his fatal crash.
Resolution / Final Reveal: The hospital's falsified records are exposed, outside investigators take control of the case, Nora recovers, and Chloe introduces her to the narrator as Evan's daughter. Julian's letter reveals that Evan had once asked him to protect Chloe if anything ever happened — a promise Julian ultimately kept by saving Nora.
