My mother-in-law screamed those words in front of 300 wealthy guests.
Then she dropped to her knees, desperately gathering the tiny objects scattered across the marble floor.
I'd never seen that woman kneel for anyone.
Not even when I'd begged her to stop destroying my marriage.
I was eight months pregnant, standing beneath a $2 million chandelier, with one hand protecting my unborn baby and the other trembling at my side.
My husband stared at the open black box.

For three years, she'd called me a gold digger. She'd humiliated me at family dinners, threatened to take my baby, and convinced everyone that I was mentally unstable.
Now she was crying at my feet.

My husband's eyes filled with horror.
“That's impossible,” he whispered. “My sister died the day she was born.”
I looked at the woman standing beside him in the white gown.
She slowly stepped forward.
“No,” she said. “I didn't.”
A champagne glass shattered behind us.
My mother-in-law screamed.
And I finally understood why she'd spent months trying to get rid of me.
I pulled out my phone and dialed the number I'd been saving for this exact moment.
A man answered on the first ring.
“Are you ready?”
I looked down at my mother-in-law.
“It's time. Tell them everything.”
But before he could respond, my husband grabbed my arm and whispered six words that made my blood run cold.
“Honey… that's not the only baby.”
